PROGRESS:

slates to part of roof complete.

its not easy - roofer has to work in between gales of wind - hes getting bits done.

 windows delivered - they look very good - quiet bright - but good I think.

All doors/ windows in now apart from the front door.

PROGRESS:

 

slates to dormers complete.

 

all leadwork to roof finished.

 

rest of roof postponed due to bad weather.

 

carpentry to first floor finished.

 

PVC windows to rear due for delivery today 31st.

 

note: ESB pylon is in fairly visible - in the way???

 

 if we ever need to move it for visual reasons then it would be good to inform ESB now - they need a good 2 months to do this - it also comes at a cost.

WEEK 29  - 28 - 01-13.

Finally Tiles delivered.............  now the wind has set in.

Bad luck - nobody can get up on that roof - might
last till Wed/ Thursday.

 Anyway - work continues inside - partition walls
upstairs going up.

Martin is planning the next few moves ahead - I 
think First Fix Electrics and Plumbing can proceed this week.

House is generally water tight - I will
find out if windows can be delivered...............

The wind is extremely strong and worse forecast for Wed.
Hardly ever sen it so bad!!!!!

One question - we were due timber effect P.V.C. eaves and facia roof
trims in the timber frame to rear - would a black P.V.C suit better.

PROGRESS:

 

Good progress.

Snow set in thought however - will not help.

Im told it shouldn't slow down windows which are still due tomm/ Thursday.

Lot of insulation put in ceiling.
Dormer windows filled in to allow window.
some studwork (timber) partitions to upstairs.
chimney being rendered.
tiler mostly finished with existing tiles. (not many left)

Not bad.

some of existing slates in place.

They will have enough for one side to rear - they may have enough for other side also ......

work done to chimney area and leadwork valleys (gutters).

Insulation fixed to inside rafters in existing.
