PROGRESS:

TO DISCUSS: 
final chimney and dormers to be demolised today.
dormers will be rebuilt at no extra cost to contract.
site hut to be provided.

WEEK 03. 26-07-12.
PROGRESS:
Embankment to rear  is stripped bare and levelling out begun.
Embankment to rear is to be made level at approx. 1.5 meter
above finished floor level of present house.





TO DISCUSS:
Dormer windows are of poor standard and need replacing - engineer has confirmed that
they are unsafe and need replacement rather than repair. 


Town architect has inspected dormer windows - and will write letter to allow
demolish and replacement rather than repair. (see below)
It is thus proposed to remove  the 2 dormers shown in red below.

WEEK 03. 24-07-12.
PROGRESS:
rear projecton removed.
roof stripped to both sides.
tree at front to be removed 6.00 a.m. tommorrow morning.
site hut to be provided.

WEEK 03. 23-07-12.
PROGRESS:
slates are stripped and rear walls down aswell.
No surprise - the chimney came down also.



TO DISCUSS:
this did leave some minor collatoral damage - a crack to the front elevation dormer
(see photo).




Its going to be tricky to prop wall and dormer in this
state but I think we are obliged to try as it is a planning condition.

The truth is however that the dormer window will in all
likleyhood have to be rebuilt in the end.

WEEK 03. 22-07-12.

PROGRESS:
ITS ALL BEGINNING TO HAPPEN.
TILES TO ROOF STRIPPED TO ALL SIDES.
TILES STACKED NEATLY TO SIDE AND SOME REMAIN USABLE.
AT A GUESS ENOUGH TO COVER FRONT ROOF.










A LITTLE AGAINST WHAT I HAD ASKED - THE SLATES ARE REMOVED - THE CHIMNEY STILL IN PLACE - THIS HAS HOWEVER SAVED ABOUT 2/300 SLATES THOUGH!!

WALLS TO  ROADWAY HAS BEN REMOVED.
AREA MARKED WITH TRAFFIC CONES - NO FENCE IN PLACE TO DATE.
WALL TO  LANEWAY HAS BEEN REMOVED OF BUSH/ HEDGE.

PROGRESS:
AREA TO FRONT/ REAR AND TO LANEWAY
HAS BEEN MADE LEVEL AND ACCESSABLE.



TO DISCUSS:
FRONT BOUNDARY ALONG ROADSIDE IS TO BE REMOVED. 
THIS WILL FACILITATE ACCESS FOR LARGER TRUCKS ETC........







SHOULD WE TRY AND KEEP THE TREE TO FRONT?
IN ALL PROBABILITY IT WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED
AT A LATER DATE FOR ROAD WIDENING/ MAYO COUNTY COUNCIL
PLANNING PURPOSES.
